The San Mig Super Coffee Mixers gets a very convincing win over Air 21 on Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
It was a tightly contested ball game at the end of the first half where 
San Mig just up ahead of Air 21 by a point, 44-45 but as the the third 
quarter started, the Mixers' offense was furious, scoring 37 points and 
their exhilarating defense limited the Express to only 18.
James Mays with yet another impressive performance finishing 23, 15 and 5
 blocks. PJ Simon led the local scoring with 20 points, also the Best 
Player of the Game.
Coach Tim Cone credited his squad for a prolific defense against Air 21 
import Wesley Witherspoon and local leading scorer Mac Cardona for the 
entire second half.
With San Mig win, they improve to a 4-2 win-loss record, just a half 
game behind from second seed San Miguel Beermen while the Express 
dropped to 3 and 5.
