How Did Basketball Begin!

Basketball is a sport played by two teams consisting of 5 players per team on a playing court. The regular players that is available per team (NBA Rules) is up to 15 Members. The objective is to shoot a ball through a hoop 18 inches (46 cm) in diameter and 10 feet (3.0 m) high mounted to a backboard at each end.

In early December 1891, Dr. James Naismith a physical education profesor and instructor at the International Young Men's Christian Association Training School (Springfield College today) in USA, he was trying to keep his gym class active on a rainy day. After rejecting other ideas, he came up with his own idea tht needs to nailed a peach basket onto a 10-foot elevated track.

Basketball is very popular now in every countries likes United States of America, Canada, and especially my home town Philippines. There are many famous basketball players so far including Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Kevin Durant, and Marc Gasol.

There are five positions that are being played on a basketball game. 

The Point Guard - The one who moves the ball.
The Shooting Guard - The one who steps outside and waiting for the ball to get an easy shot.
The Small Forward - The one that is good in shooting and rebounding.
The Power Forward - The one who helps the center get rebounds and make easy shots.
The Center - The one who rebounds for the team and make easy put backs.
