    Aiko Shinoji (篠時 愛好 Shinoji Aiko) better known as Aiko Melendez, (born December 16, 1975) is a Filipino former councilor and a former actress. Her father was an actor named Jimmy Melendez (born Jim Shinoji) who has Japaneseand Spanish blood  In the late 1980s, she was discovered by Regal Films where she signed a contract there and became one of Regal Babies. In 1995, her half-brother named Jam Melendez (son of Jimmy Melendez and Deborah Sun) also entered showbiz.
